Located in the historic Lexington Distillery District, The Burl was originally built in 1926 as a loading dock and hub for Texaco Oil. The original wood frame building and open layout have helped to create a welcoming space for any and all genres of music. Averaging around 300 nights of music a year, The Burl has quickly become one of the most prolific venues in the commonwealth and we’re proud to be in the heart of the Bluegrass.
The Burl Food presented by Kismet is housed in the building that also houses The Burl Arcade which provides the seating and drinks for the walk-up window. Kismet started out as a pop up kitchen in a local bar in 2018 and have now taken over the brick and mortar space located on The Burl’s campus. The idea for Kismet came as a way for owner’s Tonya Mays-Cronin and Philip Cronin to share the food they loved to create with the Lexington community. On the menu you can find the ‘Basic B’ cheeseburger which has quickly become a favorite around town as well as staples like the Dan Dan Noodles and Home Fries. The rotating menu reflects the owners’ travels, heritage and experiences.
Stop in and eat at the Arcade or carry out!
